Bhumi Pednekar is all set to play the lead in 'Durgavati' an upcoming scary thriller to be presented by Akshay Kumar's production company Cape of Good Films and Bhushan Kumar's T-Series. The announcement was made by Akshay Kumar on his Instagram page and the film is expected to go on floors in mid-january. Sharing a picture of himself along with Bhumi, director Ashok and producer, he wrote, ‘EXCITED to announce @bhumipednekar in & as #DURGAVATI. A scary-thriller, going on floor mid-January. Bhumi also shared her excitement about collaborating with her co-star from Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’. Taking to her Instagram Bhumi wrote, I have waited so long to share this one with you. Meanwhile, on the work front, Bhumi is currently awaiting the release of ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ which also stars Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday. It is slated to hit the theatres on December 6, 2019. She will also be seen in Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Bhoot part one: The Haunted Ship’ and Karan Johar’s ‘Takht.' Akshay on the other hand, will be seen in a series of films including Good Newwz, Bell Bottom, Laxmi Bomb, and Bachchan Pandey.
