Bollywood industry is one of the loved by the people, so much so that people have placed the celebs up on a pedestal for no good reason. And yet, almost everyone asks them to take a stand on a serious issue, and make a statement. However, as the following instances point out, that is not necessarily a wise thing to do.

Turns out, some of our celebrities have made some really ridiculous statements in interviews over the years.

Here are some instances when Bollywood celebrities made us look to the heavens, and cry out, “Why, Lord, why did I live to listen to this.”

Varun Dhawan: While promoting Dilwale, Varun Dhawan said the following - “You've seen Inception? You understood it? You liked it? Then You'll Like Dilwale Also.” Really? Seriously? You're comparing Dilwale with Inception?

Vivek Oberoi: People are comparing my performance in Krrish 3 with Heath Ledger's as Joker.

Uday Chopra: I changed my birthday from 5th January To 5th November. He said,“I am a Capricorn. But I feel like a Scorpio, so I changed my birthday."

Himesh Reshammiya: While promoting his film Karzzzz, which was a disaster, by the way, he said that the film will have as big an opening as any of the Khan's releases. Yeah, right.

Abhishek Bachchan: “Dhoom's Jai & Ali Are Like Batman & Robin"
