This film is extra special for Shah Rukh Khan as this marks a theatrical debut of Suhana Khan. with excitement steadily building, a new update about the film has now surfaced. As per the sources Deepika is likely to make comeback and play role of mother in 'King' According to reports of Peeping Moon, Deepika Padukone will make cameo appearance in King playing the role of Suhana Khan’s mother and Shah Rukh Khan’s ex-girlfriend. The makers Shah Rukh and Siddharth were keen on casting Deepika for the part, and she readily agreed when approached. Fans are now eagerly awaiting to see how she will portray this emotional role and what dynamic she will bring to the story as Suhana’s mother.

Deepika had previously appeared in a cameo in Jawan, where she played Shah Rukh Khan’s wife and mother in a double role.
