Aditya Dhar directed film Dhurandhar The Revenge is currently ruling the box-office and has maintain strong hold. Each character from the movie is getting love for their commendable performance. In movie actor Aditya Uppal plays the Lyari Task Force cop Omar Haider, his part in movie is small but has a larger impact. Aditya recently revealed that he initially refused to play the role.

Aditya recalls “In 2024, I got a call from Mukesh Chabbra’s office saying ‘there is something interesting you’d like to do?’ and my immediate response was ‘no, not now!’ as I was seriously busy with my ad agency business.” After an 8-9 year hiatus from acting, Aditya grew accustomed to rejection or insignificant roles.  He recounts his surprise at being considered for his current role: "There is a kind of disbelief which seeps in." Initially hesitant, he gave a "casual audition" at the urging of a casting associate. Following multiple auditions and a look test, he was selected, expressing gratitude for the opportunity after initial doubts. He previously held minor roles in Break Ke Baad (2010) and Ormeta (2017).

Dhurandhar's family had mixed feelings about his debut in the mega film, happy for his appearance but hoping for a larger role. He remained quiet for three months, anticipating what was to come. By the second part, expectations were low, but the "Tamma Tamma" scene and his growing role sparked excitement. As they left the theater, the end-credit scene featuring him appeared, prompting his cousin's exclamation, "You're back again!" The movie's ending, focused on him, quickly went viral.

While enjoying newfound recognition, evidenced by his Instagram following jumping from 1.2K to 33K, he also receives disturbing messages related to his character's actions. He humorously notes the public's reaction to a scene involving his boss's coffin, praising the director's effective use of humor. Currently vacationing in Goa, Dhurandhar is finally receiving script offers after 16 years and intends to proceed thoughtfully.
