Here’s an interesting behind-the-scenes nugget about the much anticipated film Do Deewane Seher Mein starring Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi. The now-talked-about track ‘Do Deewane Shaher Mein,’ which features prominently in the film’s teaser and trailer, was not initially conceptualized as part of the project.
A source close to the production revealed, "Originally, the iconic song ‘Do Deewane Shaher Mein,’ which we heard in the teaser and trailer of Do Deewane Seher Mein, was not conceptualized for the film. However, Sanjay Leela Bhansali watched the film, recognized it as a gem of a story with strong appeal for the current generation, and decided to incorporate it. He gave full creative freedom to director Ravi Udyawar and guided him throughout the process. The makers felt that the original song was the best choice, and since the vocals were so pure, they retained the original track while slightly reprising it to suit today’s times. It is not a remix.”
The song entered the narrative much later, after Sanjay Leela Bhansali watched the completed cut of the film. Deeply moved by the storytelling, Bhansali reportedly identified the film as a gem with a strong emotional core and a theme that would resonate with the current generation. Recognizing its potential, he suggested incorporating the iconic track to elevate the romantic and nostalgic tonality of the narrative. What makes this development even more significant is that Bhansali extended full creative freedom to director Ravi Udyawar while guiding him through the integration process.
Zee Studios and Bhansali Productions present 'Do Deewane Seher Mein', starring Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi, directed by Ravi Udyawar. The film is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Prerna Singh, Umesh Kumar Bansal and Bharat Kumar Ranga in association with Ravi Udyawar Films. 'Do Deewane Seher Mein' which releases around Valentine's week is slated for a theatrical release on 20th February 2026.
