Esha Deol is one of the popular actress in entertainment industry, known for her role in movies like, Dhoom, No entry and more. After marriage with Bharat Takhtani which ended in 2024 actress took a significant break from acting and focused on child and marriage. Recently in an interview she revealed that she regrets rejecting some major role and songs which became iconic .

The daughter of Hema Malini and Dharmendra looked back at her career choices in an interview with Siddharth Kanan. She said, “There were a couple of very good films which I could have done, but I don’t know what I was thinking, and I said no to them. They went on to be big hits, which I could have had to my credit.”

When asked if arrogance fueled her decisions, Esha demurred, stating she was a well-behaved, naïve, and innocent girl during her film career and not as arrogant as people perceived. Her rejections stemmed from scheduling conflicts, a belief she couldn't embody certain roles convincingly, discomfort with some characters, and a desire to uphold family values and avoid offense.

Notable opportunities she turned down included a role in Golmaal (2006) and the song "Beedi Jalaile" from Omkara (2006), which Bipasha Basu eventually performed.
