Actress Megha Sharma who is seen in Saajan Ghar, expresses deep sadness over the tragic incident in Himachal Pradesh, where two youngsters lost their lives while trying to shoot a reel in extreme snowy conditions. She says, “This incident is really painful and shocking for me. I feel the race to become viral has made many people forget how important life is. A few seconds of fame is never worth losing your life. Creativity is beautiful, but safety should always come first. If something can put your life in danger, then it’s not creativity—it’s a risk, and it should be avoided.”

Talking about the growing pressure on children and teenagers, Megha says that social media has created expectations that many young minds are not yet ready to handle. “I think young people today are under a lot of pressure because of social media. Many children and teenagers start comparing themselves with others too early. They try to look perfect and popular online, even when they are still figuring out who they are,” she explains. She adds, “I feel they need guidance and patience, not pressure, to grow emotionally before facing such strong public attention.”

Reflecting on the story of the loyal dog that stayed with the bodies for four days, Megha shares, “When I heard about the dog staying with the bodies, it was both heartbreaking and touching. It shows that real love and loyalty don’t need cameras or likes. Animals teach us pure emotions.” She adds thoughtfully, “Moments like this remind me that connection, care, and presence matter far more than online approval or numbers on a screen.” On society normalising risky behaviour, Megha says, “I do feel risky behaviour is slowly being normalised in the name of content. When people see dangerous videos becoming popular, they think it’s acceptable to copy them.” She stresses, “I believe platforms and influencers should be more responsible. Young minds follow what they see. Promoting safe and honest content is just as important as being creative.”

Through her words, Megha Sharma highlights the importance of safety, emotional maturity, and real human connection over fleeting digital attention, sending a clear message about responsibility in the age of social media.
