Actor Ranbir Kapoor is all set to play the lead role in Kabir Singh fame Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s next directorial Animal.The makers of Animal took to social media to share a video announcing the film. The makers of the film made the official announcement at midnight with the coming of the new year. Revealing the title of the film, T-Series shared the audio teaser that has only raised the excitement around the film. With a daunting background music, we hear Ranbir Kapoor's voice where he is talking to his father.The teaser ends with the sound of gunshots.

Vanga's last release 'Kabir Singh' which starred Shahid Kapoor in the lead, turned out to be a blockbuster. The film also stars, Anil Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, and Bobby Deol in key roles. Animal is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani will go on floors in mid 2021. Ranbir Kapoor was last seen on screen in 2018. Ranbir will soon be seen together in Ayan Mukerji's upcoming project 'Brahmastra' opposite ladylove  Alia Bhatt. He also has 'Shamshera' and an untitled film with Luv Ranjan in his kitty. Meanwhile, Ranbir has headed to Rajasthan with his family and girlfriend Alia Bhatt, photos of them have been making rounds on the internet.
