The Legend of Bhagat Singh (2002)

Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi the film won Ajay his second National Film Award for his convincing performance of the revolutionary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. The movie marked a turning point in the career of Devgn.

Company (2002)

The film which has based on the underwold had Ajay essaying the role of the notorious Mallik. The character was based on the life of dreaded gangster Dawood Ibrahim. This bloodied drama by Ram Gopal Varma is among his best work.

Zakhm (1998)

Ajay won his first ever National Award for the film with his hard-hitting performance. The movie had an ensemble star cast including the likes of Pooja Bhatt, Nagarjuna.

Singham (2011)

This cop drama has proved to be a kind of game-changer for Ajay Devgn himself. The actor collaborated with Rohit Shetty for this action drama and the rest is history.  Rohit Shitty roped in Ranveer Singh in 2018 film Simmba and will introduce Akshay Kumar in the fourth instalment, Sooryavanshi.

Omkara (2006)

The film brought Shakespeare’s Othello to Hindi heartland and turned out to be iconic. It was Ajay's first collaboration with filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj. It also starred Saif Ali Khan, who now plays an antagonist in their latest film, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.

Gangaajal (2003)

The film which was based on Bhagalpur blindings had Ajay essaying the role of a police officer who manages to stand his ground in the midst of corrupt sourroundings.

Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam (1999)

The romantic drama, also starring Aishwarya Rai and Salman Khan, won four National Film Awards in music and technical categories. Ajay’s performance as a husband who is ready to sacrifice his marriage for the sake of his wife’s happiness was appreciated by audience and critics alike.

Phool Aur Kaante (1991)

Ajay Devgn made an award-winning debut with Phool Aur Kaante, in which he played the son of a criminal. The film, starring Madhoo as Ajay’s first female co-star, had several hit numbers the action drama was directed by his late father and action director Veeru Devgn.

Raid (2018)

Ajay ventured into action thrillers once again with this 2018 movie in which he portrayed the role of a Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax. As expected, the superstar outshone everyone in the film with his epic dialogues and perfect expressions.

Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006)

Ajay Devgn’s first installment in the hit Rohit Shetty franchise, Golmaal: Fun Unlimited stands out among the few comic films he has starred in. He continues to lead the pack of few friends which include Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor.
