Maithili Thakur is an Indian singer trained in Indian Classical music. She rose to fame in 2017 when she took part in season 1 of Rising Star. Maithili was the first finalist of the show, singing Om Namah Shivaya which gained her direct entry into the final. She was runner up, losing out by just two votes. 

After the show she created her own Facebook and Youtube channel and instantly she got 70,000 and 7 million views across the platforms. The online fame has inflated their monthly income from shows to Rs 10 lakh, from Rs 10,000.

Maithili Thakur, who has left a mark of her singing in the country since 2017, is desperate to go to Bollywood. If she gets a chance, she will also showcase her talent in Bollywood. Not only this, he will also leave the impression of Braj in Bollywood. Because they like Braj language very much. These things were told by Maithili Thakur in his interview to Amar Ujala. Maithili came to perform bhajan evening on Numaish's Kohinoor stage on Tuesday.

Ever since her channel started growing stronger on social media. The country gave great love to the singing of Maithili and her two brothers. Today, Maithili's social media account, page and video channel have millions of followers. She is a resident of Madhubani Bihar. Currently living in Dwarka, Delhi, Bharti College is pursuing BA first year from Delhi University.
