New Delhi, May 3 Senior actress Himani Shivpuri has shared her mantra for the summer skincare routine, saying that she tries not to stay too much in the AC.

Himani, who is known for her roles in movies like 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' and 'Jodi No.1', revealed that her summer mantra is to be as hydrated as possible.

Talking to IANS, Himani said: "When you are in the studios, under the lights, you tend to sweat and lose essential salts from the body, so I try to drink nimbu paani with salt. I can't take sugar because I am diabetic. But for those who aren't, can add a little bit of sugar, as you know it is the latest poison. The best option is nimbu paani or chaach."

The actress, who is currently seen in 'Happu Ki Ultan Paltan', further shared that she tries not to stay too much in the AC, as it is harmful.

"I try not to stay too much in the AC, because it is very harmful, as once I go out from the room to the set, which is full of lights, so your body takes a shock. So it's not very healthy. AC is frankly not very good for the skin. So even when I am travelling by car, I try to use as little AC as possible, because it sucks all the moisture from your skin. So basically it is to get hydrated and learn to bear the heat," she said.

Himani said the only way "we can save ourselves from the heat is by planting more trees, and being environmentally conscious".

The 'Biwi No. 1' actress said that she doesn't like to go to the gym, and the only exercise she does is walking and yoga.

"Also, in the night, I take a bath with lukewarm water, but in the morning, I bathe with cold water because it is very refreshing and it wakes you up completely," she said.

Himani continued saying that she doesn't like facials.

"I was told by an Ayurvedic beautician that it has to be someone really good, because hand movements are very important. If she is massaging you the wrong way, then it will affect you badly. After I come back from my shoot, I remove my makeup, apply a night cream, and gently massage my face," she added.
