Los Angeles [US], April 3 : The Friends theme song is loved by many, however, for David Schwimmer, listening to it repeatedly took a toll on him, reported Variety.

According to the Variety, Schwimmer, while speaking on a podcast hosted by Matt Lucas and David Walliams, shared that hearing 'I'll Be There for You' by The Rembrandts became overwhelming after a while.

"I'll be really honest, there was a time, for quite a while, that just hearing the theme song would really... I just had that reaction. I mean, I had just heard it so many times," he said.

Schwimmer, who played Ross Geller on Friends for ten years, from 1994 to 2004, also shared that the song followed him everywhere, even after the show ended.

"Any time you'd go on a show, or a talk show, or an interview, that would be your intro song. So I just didn't have the greatest response to it," he said.

The actor also revealed that he did not watch Friends after leaving the show; however, his feelings about the show changed when his daughter, Cleo, discovered it at the age of nine.

"For me, it's like, I did it, I'm moving on. I don't really go back and revisit. I'd be making breakfast or whatever, and I'd hear my kid's laughter. My whole relationship to that song and to the show changed," he added.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Schwimmer was last seen as a regular in the second season of Goosebumps.
