Director Anil Sharma is all set to direct the Deols in Apne 2 and the Gadar filmmaker is keen to get the shoot rolling for his most ambitious project. Speaking about the movie, Anil recently told a news portal that they are waiting for an international action director from the US who will reportedly train Karan for the movie. The filmmaker also revealed that the actor has meanwhile, already started his prep work in boxing with other trainers. The initial plan of the makers was to start shooting for the movie by March-April 2021. However, owing to the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic, they postponed the shooting indefinitely.
Sharma reportedly said that they are planning to resume the shoot once the lockdown eases. They are planning to begin their London schedule by September this year. The film reportedly requires a boxing arena and a huge crowd, which cannot be executed effectively with social distancing. The second instalment of Apne has been in the works for quite some time. Talking about Apne 2, Dharmendra said, "Apne is one of the best films of my life. A joint effort by the whole unit, received very well by you all. Now, I'm very happy because I will get to shoot Apne 2 with my entire family - my sons Sunny, Bobby and my grandson Karan. It will be a very special film and I am looking forward to shooting. "The star-studded Apne 2 cast includes stars like Dharmendra, Bobby Deol, and Sunny Deol reprising their role in the sequel. To be seen together for the first time in reel life, Karan Deol is all set to work with his father, uncle, and grandfather in the much-awaited movie. The female leads for the movie have not been disclosed yet.
