I don’t see it as something separate from acting in fact, I feel it’s deeply connected to how I understand emotion, rhythm, and character. When Tu Yaa Main came to me, the idea of the character expressing himself through a rap track felt incredibly honest and instinctive. It wasn’t about becoming a singer for the sake of it; it was about letting the character speak in the language that felt most authentic to his world."
Adarsh continues, "Rap, especially, allows you to articulate raw thoughts, contradictions, anger, vulnerability, and truth all at once. Recording this track was as emotionally demanding as shooting a scene - it required me to be completely present, stripped of artifice. I wanted the voice to sound lived-in, imperfect, and real, because that’s how the character is. For me, music is not an add-on to performance; it’s another layer of storytelling. If it helps deepen the audience’s understanding of who this person is and what he’s feeling, then it has served its purpose. This experience has been both terrifying and fulfilling, and it’s definitely opened up a new creative dimension for me.”
