Mumbai, April 1 In a heartwarming moment, Jackie Shroff expressed gratitude to filmmaker Farah Khan for casting him in the movie 'Happy New Year', and credited her for presenting him in his best look till date on screen.

The conversation took place while shooting for a recent vlog on Farah Khan’s YouTube channel, when she visited Krishna Shroff’s house in Mumbai for a special segment.

Jackie Shroff, who was also present, spoke candidly about his experience working with Farah.

Jackie told Farah, “I have to thank you for casting me on Happy New Year. You made me look so beautiful on screen. No filmmaker has been able to do that before.”

The actor further also encouraged his daughter Krishna to make the most of opportunities and learn as much as possible from Farah.

Talking about Happy New Year, the movie released in 2014, Happy New Year was directed by Farah Khan and featured an ensemble cast including Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonu Sood, Boman Irani, and Jackie Shroff.

The film's plot revolved around a group of individuals who participate in an international dance competition as part of a larger heist plan.

The movie's music, featuring songs like “Indiawaale,” “Manwa Laage,” and “Lovely,” became chart busters.

Jackie Shroff played the suave antagonist Charan Grover.

Talking about Farah Khan, the filmmaker turned vlogger known for her grand, entertaining cinema, made her directorial debut with Main Hoon Na.

She went on to later deliver hits like Om Shanti Om and Happy New Year.
