#Jamia Protest: Celebs condemn Delhi Police action over Jamia Violence

Bollywood celebs Konkana Sen Sharma, Swara Bhasker, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, and Soni Razdan have slammed the Delhi Police over the unjust laticharge on the students and staff of Jamia Millia Islamia University.

Bollywood celebs Konkana Sen Sharma, Swara Bhasker, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey,  and Soni Razdan have slammed the Delhi Police over the unjust laticharge on the students and staff of Jamia Millia Islamia University. The police apparently entered the without permission and beat up students and staff, as they along with the locals protested against the amended Citizenship Act. Several parts of India have witnessed violent protests ever since the Citizenship (Amendment)Bill was passed in the Parliament last week.

Veere Di Wedding' actress Swara Bhasker took to Twitter and wrote, "Shocking messages of violence, tear gassing from #Jamia in #Delhi ! Why are students being treated like criminals? Why are hostels being tear gassed.. ??? What is going on #DelhiPolice ???? Shocking and shameful! #CABProtests" 

'Jolly LLB 2' actress Sayani Gupta shared a picture of A-listed Bollywood stars with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and asked them to come out and take a stand against the brutality as she wrote, "On behalf of the students of Jamia & AMU request at least one of you to tweet or message Mr. Modi condemning this act of police brutality and violence against students. The time has come to speak up guys. Yes? No? May be?"  The horrific brutality has shocked the entire nation with hashtags like #JamiaMilia and #JamiaProtest trending on social media.
