New Delhi [India], June 22 : 'Kota Factory' has returned on Netflix with its highly-anticipated third season, continuing to delve into the high-pressure world of IIT preparation.

Jitendra Kumar, who plays the beloved mentor Jeetu Bhaiya, recently shared insights in an interview with ANI, highlighting the new season's focus on mental health issues and the cultural taboo surrounding therapy.

"Of course, mental health issues are still considered taboo in our society today," Kumar remarked. "With the rise of digitalization, we have become social animals living in isolation. Mental health should not be taboo at this time, and we need to openly discuss it. I'm glad to be part of a show that addresses this sensitive topic."

Kumar discussed the intense preparation that went into bringing his character to life.

"I had numerous discussions with writers Abhishek Yadav and Saurabh Khurana about making this fictional character feel real. Although I have teaching experience, Jeetu Bhaiya is larger-than-life, staying connected with students in a way that's rare in real life. The challenge was to portray this character authentically."

He shared a specific example of this effort, "There's a scene involving a lecture on the word 'shringaar' which we discussed for 2-3 hours before shooting. I wanted my character to be genuine and relatable, not preachy."

Kumar also spoke about the inspiring dialogues from Jeetu Bhaiya that resonate with him personally.

"'Taiyari hi jeet hai' (The preparation itself is the victory) is a dialogue I find very valuable. Another one, 'Tu late hai, akela nahi' (You are late, but not alone), highlights the shared journey of students in this competitive race."

The third season of 'Kota Factory' dives deep into the mental health struggles faced by students preparing for IIT exams.

It emphasizes the importance of mentorship and the realities of dealing with high-pressure academics.

The season continues the story of Jeetu Bhaiya as he grapples with the responsibility of being a mentor, especially in the wake of a student's tragic suicide in season 2.

Viewers also see the return of characters Vaibhav, Balmukund, and Uday as they navigate friendships, academics, and romantic relationships.

'Lust Stories 2' actor Tillotama Shome is also a part of Season 3, playing the role of a chemistry teacher.
