Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on Saturday took to Twitter to express her opinion on PM Narendra Modi's Saturday appeal on treating the Kumbh Mela celebration as a 'symbolic' event this year due to the pandemic. But the actress later deleted her tweet.

But many users already saw her post and took screenshots of it.  In the tweet, Kangana wrote, "After kumb mela...Honourable Prime Minister ji please request to stop Ramzan gathering also". 

A day after 30 'sadhus' tested positive for COVID-19 amidst the Kumbh Mela in Haridwar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said he spoke to Swami Avdheshanand Giri, Acharya Mahamandleshwar, Juna Akhara to inquire about the health of the seers and requested him to keep the religious congregation symbolic due to the pandemic.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana Ranaut's much-awaited project 'Thalaivi' which was slated to get a theatrical release on April 23, this year got postponed due to the rise in the number of COVID-19 cases in India. Apart from this she also has 'Tejas', 'Dhaakad', and 'Mkarnika Returns: The Legend Of Didda' in the pipeline.

Kangana has also signed up to play the role of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in an upcoming political drama.
