Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut on Friday launched a scathing attack on actor Aamir Khan. The Panga actress took a jibe at Aamir for his intolerance remark from years ago and sarcastically said that people should question the 'intolerance gang' as to how much they have suffered in the country. The actress in her tweet wrote, Just as Rani Laxmibai's fort was broken, my house was broken too. Just as Savarkar ji was put in jail for rebellion, they are also trying to send me to jail. Please ask intolerance gang how many struggles they have faced in this intolerant nation? "Back in 2015, Aamir received a massive backlash after he said he was "alarmed" over the rising intolerance in the country. He had also said that his wife, Kiran Rao, had even suggested leaving the country.

The actor was criticised for his remark. Aamir had later issued a statement stating categorically that neither he nor his wife Kiran had any intention of leaving the country. "Anyone implying the opposite has either not seen my interview or is deliberately trying to distort what I have said. India is my country, I love it, I feel fortunate for being born here, and this is where I am staying," the actor had written on his official Facebook page. A Mumbai-based lawyer named Ali Kaashif Khan Deshmukh on Thursday filed a criminal complaint against Kangana for allegedly posting a “malicious” tweet against the judiciary after a local court ordered the registration of an FIR against her. The police have already summoned Kangana and her sister Rangoli Chandel for questioning next week after a case was registered against them on the Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate’s order on another complaint.
