Karan Johar who is all set to don the director's hat once again after a gap of nearly 3 years  is leaving no stone unturned as far as preparation is concerned for his upcoming film 'Takht.' The ace director is gearing up to fly across Europe including France  and Italy to hunt locations for his magnum opus before it goes on floors in February. Karan and his team recently jetted off to Jaisalmer for the same for an extensive analysis of the location. 

A source close to the development revealed, "Karan always planned to spend January on the final round of recce and will be exploring locations similar to the landscape of Rajasthan in countres across Europe.'' Continuing further the source revealed, massive set will be erected everywhere from Rajasthan to Europe for which a huge budget has been locked."

Featuring Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor the war drama is expected to release next year. Ranveer Singh will essay the role of Aurangazeb while, Vicky Kaushal is to play Dara Shukoh. The duo will be at odds against each other in their quest to become the new ruler after their father's reign. The movie has already evoked a sense of curiosity among Bollywood fans as this is the first time Karan will be helming a period drama.
