Actor Karanvir Sharma is back on OTT after a short break, and this time, he’s making headlines with his impactful presence in the newly dropped trailer of The Trial Season 2. The actor, who was last seen in a legal drama space with A Thursday, joined Kajol and the rest of the cast at the trailer launch event today, where his performance in the gripping promo instantly caught attention.
The versatile actor steps into the role of Param Munjal, a sharp and ambitious new partner at the law firm where Kajol’s character Noyonika works. In the trailer, Karanvir shines as a charismatic figure whose arrival promises to alter equations, stir up conflicts, and shift the balance of power in the storyline. He is introduced to Kajol’s character in a party and later they meet to discuss the case in a office set up.
Speaking about stepping into the series at the launch, Karanvir said, “This role gave me a chance to step into uncharted territory as an actor, and that’s always exciting. Param Munjal is layered, ambitious, and someone who thrives in grey areas, which makes him fascinating to play. It was challenging to bring out those complexities, but under the direction of Umesh Bisht sir, I found the right rhythm. I’m really looking forward to how audiences will respond to this fresh dynamic in fresh season of The Trial.”
Karanvir is all praise for the show’s leading Kajol and recalled his first scene with him, “Kajol made it so comfortable for me. I had my first scene with her and I didn’t had any interaction with her before that I want to thank Kajol for that because after so many years of super stardom and being such a phenomenal actor she is so grounded, humble and the kind of compassion she had is something that is infectious I love it.”
