Washington [US], March 3 : Actress and singer Keke Palmer got candid about doing bold scenes on screen and why she is reluctant to do them.

"I've always been reluctant to do nudity just because I'm so shy and, you know, embarrassed," Palmer said. "And to know that people are going to be able to have those scenes forever, she added, according to People.

"I could never have the confidence to do something like that!" she added. "I'm not that bold."

Palmer shared what she is as a person she is at a "deep level," and said that she has "always been the kind of person that's felt very lonely or had these big emotions."

"And I always say that people who are considered comedians, or people that make people laugh, they're not necessarily seen as serious," she continued. "Usually, though, they're the ones with the deepest feelings of all, and it's that humor that's helping them get through," according to People.

Earlier, she said in an interview, "I'm not really mad at the love scene, but it's like, 'What kind? What kind of choreography are we doing?' " Palmer said. "But other than that, I'm open. But I'm not into nudity."

She added that being a mother to now-two-year-old son Leodis also plays a part in the roles she's willing to take in her career.

"Before I was a mom it was my parents, my family, my community, what I want to represent," she said. "And then it's become even more of my son and what I want him to see and know. That's not stringent and rigid, right? I think mothers and women are nuanced... But it's just like, how will I speak to him about it? Is it something I can stand behind? Things like that," as per the outlet.

"I attribute it to self-love, which has been ignited even more so by my son," she said. "You know, when you have a kid, you're always trying to figure out what you can do better, how you can be better for the child, and loving yourself to me is No. 1."

"I feel like I've been pouring so much more into myself so that I can be the best mom to him. And it has made my life even more fulfilling, to be honest with you," Palmer added, reported People.
