Akshay Kumar’s much-awaited film Kesari Chapter 2 is set to hit theaters next month on April 18, 2025. The historical drama, based on the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, recently unveiled its teaser, sparking excitement among fans. Akshay Kumar portrays a lawyer in the film, alongside R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday in pivotal roles. Amid the buzz the Ananya Pandey look from the film has gone viral on social media. A Reddit post featuring a viral poster of Kesari Chapter 2 has ignited curiosity about Ananya Panday’s role. The poster showcases a striking cross-image of Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan, with Ananya positioned in the center. She is seen wearing a white, British-style saree, styled with a vintage hairdo from the colonial era, and holding a file prompting speculation about whether she is playing a British character.
However, the makers have not yet revealed details about Ananya’s role. Given that Akshay Kumar is playing a lawyer, some fans speculate that she might be the prosecution lawyer in the case.
Kesari Chapter 2 is based on the life of Barrister C. Sankaran Nair, an Indian freedom fighter and lawyer who played a crucial role in bringing the Jallianwala Bagh massacre to light on an international platform. Akshay Kumar essays his role, while the film is produced under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
