The teaser for Kesari Chapter 2, starring Akshay Kumar and produced by Dharma Productions, was released on Monday, offering a glimpse into the film's depiction of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The teaser opens with audio of screams during the massacre and visuals of the Golden Temple in 1919. A voiceover narrates the British killings at Jallianwala Bagh. Akshay Kumar portrays a lawyer challenging a British judge in court.

Fans reacted enthusiastically online, praising Kumar's performance and anticipating an intense and impactful film, with some predicting 'blockbuster' status and comparing it favorably to the original Kesari and his recent film Sky Force. Kesari Chapter 2, also starring Ananya Panday and R Madhavan, will be released on April 18. Akshay Kumar shared the teaser on Instagram, describing the film as "A genocide India must know about. A revolution painted in courage."

The first film, Kesari (2019), depicted the Battle of Saragarhi in 1897, where 21 Sikh soldiers fought against 10,000 Pashtun tribesmen. Parineeti Chopra also starred in the first chapter. The Jallianwala Bagh massacre occurred on April 13, 1919, when British forces, under General Dyer, opened fire on a peaceful protest against the Rowlatt Act and the arrest of activists Saifuddin Kitchlew and Satyapal. The shooting continued until ammunition ran low, resulting in thousands of casualties.
