A few days prior to the event, the artist, who is well-known for songs like Senorita and Stitches, arrived in the city and spent some time exploring Mumbai's lively streets.
Mendes was spotted doing window shopping at South Mumbai's busy Colaba Causeway market before the performance. Mendes mingled with the masses, perusing a variety of objects while wearing a white vest and brown corduroy trousers. In a viral video published on social media, the singer was seen picking out footwear at a neighbourhood shop, while another video showed him posing with delighted fans who flocked to catch a peek of the pop sensation.
