Washington [US], April 20 : American rapper and actor Ludacris recently appeared on the show 'Hot Ones' and clarified on what he meant when he said that Justin Timberlake yelled at him during the 2007 Grammys, reported People.

Here's what occurred, Ludacris was ecstatic when he won the Best Rap Album Grammy for 'Release Therapy'. He rejoiced and celebrated loudly with his teammates backstage, and Justin Timberlake was in the room next door. Justin advised him to tone it down a little because he was still waiting for his own win.

Ludacris made news when he shared the story about Justin Timberlake shouting at him during the 2007 Grammy Awards. However, he informed Sean Evans, the presenter of Hot Ones, that the internet took it all wrong.

The 'Act a Fool' rapper simply burst out laughing when Hot Ones host Sean Evans asked, "Fact or fiction: Justin Timberlake cursed you out at the Grammys for celebrating too much?"

He then responded, "I'm glad that you brought this up because the Internet went a little crazy with it."

Ludacris provided further context for the backstage scene, explaining that the 'Cry Me a River' singer was mostly kidding.

The Fast and the Furious star revealed, "He definitely meant it, but it was no cursing out."

"He was behind the curtain and I was celebrating so openly and I was so loud," said the hip-hop star, who won took home his first and only best rap album Grammy for his 2006 project Release Therapy, as well as the trophy for best rap song for his collaboration with Pharrell Williams, "Money Maker," that night.

The hitmaker explained, "I think it was said more in fun, but there was definitely some truth behind it. Like, 'OK, show's not over. Stop celebrating so openly, I haven't won any yet,' but with a smile on his face type of thing."

At the 49th annual Grammy Awards, the 'Area Codes' rapper was up for a total of four gramophones and ended up taking home two, reported People.
