Abhilash, the lyricist of the well-known prayer song 'Itani Shakti Hume Dena Data', died of cancer. He breathed his last on Sunday. He was diagnosed with liver cancer and was bed-ridden for the last 10 months, having undergone major operations for it.
He was cremated at Shivdham in Goregaon East last night. Abhilash is known for his work on ‘Laal Chooda’ (1984), ‘Hulchul’ (1995) and ‘Jeete Hain Shaan Se’ (1988).
In 2020 Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan also died of cancer.
