Subash Ghai's Khalnayak is regarded as one of Bollywood's most iconic films and speculations are rife that a sequel to the film is on the cards. However, one of the main leads from the original, Madhuri Dixit on whom the popular song, "Choli ke peeche kya hai" was filmed seems clueless about the latest development. In a interview to IANS, Madhuri said, That''s news to me. I have no idea. It is a surprise for me." Continuing further, the Saajan actress said, "It depends on the script, how they are planning to do, where they want to shoot. I think we will take things as they come,"  

Directed by Subhash Ghai, the thriller starred Sanjay as a criminal Ballu, while Jackie Shroff played a police officer Ram, alongside Madhuri Dixit as his love interest and fellow cop Ganga. The film which marked  a turning point in Dutt's career is still a big favourite among movie fans and the Dhak Dhak girl of Bollywood  revealed that hasn't really given a thought to remakes or sequels of any of the films that she starred in. Even Sanjay Dutt expressed his desire to bankroll the sequel during one of his interviews last year to a popular media portal.  Meanwhile, on the work front recently released made her debut as a singer with her song 'Candle.' Post lockdown the Tezaab actress, will be gearing up for her yet untitled Nextflix project.  Amidst the pandemic the actress has been regularly updating her fans through her social media platforms.
