A statement from Mammootty's team read, "This is fake news. He is on a break for Ramzan fasting and is not shooting at the moment. After his break, he will resume shooting for Mahesh Narayanan's film alongside Mohanlal." The film's first schedule had already begun in Sri Lanka, marking the long-awaited collaboration of the two iconic Malayalam stars on screen after over a decade. The film, tentatively titled MMMN (Mammootty, Mohanlal, Mahesh Narayanan), also features Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, Darshana Rajendran, and others.
In recent news, Mammootty revealed a new poster for his upcoming film Bazooka, which is set to release in theaters on April 10, 2025, after several delays. Directed by debutant Deeno Dennis, Bazooka is an action thriller that stars Mammootty alongside Gautham Vasudev Menon, Babu Antony, Iswarya Menon, Neeta Pillai, Gayathri Iyer, and other prominent actors.
