Lo and behold! Mouni Roy dropped her next project and should we say,, it's 'saucy'! The actress is the face and force behind 'Saucy', rapper DIVINE's fifth studio album Walking on Water, also featuring Punjabi singer-rapper Riar Saab. Filmed entirely across Singapore, the video showcases a sleek, high-gloss aesthetic with Mouni at the centre of it all, bringing all of her star power and guiding the narrative through stylised choreography against some of the city's most striking backdrops.
For Mouni, the shoot was an experience that went well beyond the camera. "Singapore had been on my travel wish list for a while, and now it has my heart," she said. "Experiencing this beautiful beautiful country for the first time while shooting Saucy was something else entirely. The food, the fashion, the energy, it all flows together so effortlessly. We moved through so many different spaces and moods while filming, and the city just kept revealing itself. Bustling one moment, beautifully still the next. It stopped feeling like we were working and shooting and started feeling like I was falling in love with the city. I came to film and ended up completely charmed. I will definitely be coming back."
As for what's next, Mouni Roy's 2026 work slate is as packed as it is varied. She has Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, Ab Hoga Hisaab, The Wives and the big-ticket Vishwambhara all lined up, with a couple of additional projects currently in the initial stages of talks and negotiations. If Saucy is any indication of the energy she's bringing into this year, audiences are in for quite a ride.
