Popular Marathi television actress Gayatri Datar recently shared a disturbing experience on social media, raising concerns about her personal safety. In a detailed post, she alleged harassment by a cab driver and expressed fear over the situation. She also criticised the cab service provider for failing to assist her during the ordeal. Taking to Instagram Stories, Gayatri described the incident in a way that alarmed her followers, highlighting how unsafe she felt despite taking precautions. Her post quickly gained attention online, with many users expressing concern and demanding stricter safety measures from cab aggregators.

Recounting the incident, Gayatri wrote that she had booked a cab from Mumbai to Pune early in the morning. However, she cancelled the ride before the driver arrived after realising she needed more time to pack. Despite cancelling in advance, the driver allegedly began harassing her by repeatedly calling from multiple phone numbers for over two hours. She said the situation became so overwhelming that she felt scared to even step out of her housing society and was left in tears. Gayatri further revealed that the driver used abusive language during the calls, which heightened her fear of being followed or harmed.

She posted on her Instagram story, "@indrive.in I booked a cab in the morning today to go from Mumbai to Pune. I cancelled it before it arrived because I realised I am gonna take more time to pack Follow The driver has been Harassing me for the past 2 hours by calling me constantly through different numbers to a point that I am scared to step out of my society and te a point where I am crying I am REALLY VERY SCARED to step down because I feel the has called me soo many times and cursed me 2) The innumerable numbers he has been calling me from could follow me on my way and harm me in some way The indrive support is of no use whatsoever."

Meanwhile, Gayatri, known for her roles in shows like Tula Pahate Re and Abir Gulal, has also been in the spotlight for her personal life. She is set to tie the knot soon with Shrikant Chavare. As per his Instagram bio, Shrikant completed his education at IIT Bombay and works as a drone photographer. He is passionate about travelling and photography. The couple’s upcoming wedding has been a topic of interest among fans, adding to the attention around the actress.
