The tragic demise of Sushant Singh Rajput has once again raised questions on the functioning of Bollywood. Post the death of the Kedarnath actor a lot of reports have emerged which indicate Sushant was a victim of professional bullying. The Mumbai Police have been investigating the case from this angle and have recorded statements of at least 41 people, including Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty. According to a Times Now report, the Mumbai Police, in their ongoing probe, have found out that the late actor was sidelined at Bollywood parties, events and film promotions. Five people have also  mentioned in their statements that Sushant was suffering from depression. They also said that the actor faced discrimination. It has emerged that Sushant was also sidelined during the promotions of his films Raabta (2017) and Kedarnath (2018), co-starring Kriti Sanon and Sara Ali Khan, respectively.

Some people also said in their statements that Sushant was sidelined during Bollywood parties and award functions. Already a number of high profile filmmakers including Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Aditya Chopra and Mukesh Chhabra have been questioned.  Meanwhile,  the Mumbai Police have summoned director-screenwriter Rumi Jaffery to record his statement at the Bandra Police Station. Jaffery was planning to make a romantic comedy with Sushant and Rhea. Speculations are rife that Jaffery spoke to Sushant over the phone two days before his death on June 12, and it was during that conversation that he got to know about Sushant’s depression. For the unversed, Sushant was found dead at his residence on June 14. His postmortem report has revealed that the cause of the actor’s death was hanging.
