Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], July 31 : 'Bigg Boss 17' winner Munawar Faruqui has commenced the shoot for his debut web show 'First Copy'.

Though details about the show and Munawar's character are still under wraps, the photo he shared on social media left his fans excited.

Munawar shared the BTS image from the set on social media, captioning it "New Journey (clapper board emoji)."

Earlier, the teaser of the web show was released during Eid to make the fans' celebration even more special. The teaser transports people to 1999 when DVDs were a big trend.

On making his debut, Munawar said, "I am thrilled to be embarking on this new journey as an actor with First Copy. It's an exciting challenge, and I'm eagerly waiting for the audience to see this new side of me. The love and support I've received so far have been overwhelming, and I hope to make everyone proud with this web series."

The project is written and directed by Farhan P. Zamma, produced by Kurji Productions, and co-produced by Salt Media.

Earlier this year, Munawar hogged the limelight with his stint in 'Bigg Boss 17'.Munawar defeated actor Abhishek Kumar in the top two to win the finale.In an interview with ANI, Munawar said he was confident about his win."My heart was beating a lot but somewhere it was saying that I will be the winner. My fans always supported me and whenever I was left behind, they pulled me by holding my hand, so I am very grateful."
