Washington [US], May 22 : Miami-born rapper Pitbull expressed his delight regarding the use of his song in the romantic carriage scene in the latest season of the Netflix hit series, 'Bridgerton'.

The scene, which featured an instrumental rendition of Pitbull's 'Give Me Everything,' showcased the romantic scene between characters Colin and Penelope.

In a post on Instagram, Pitbull, also known as Mr. Worldwide, remarked, "This again shows the world how music is the international language that transcends over boundaries."

He expressed gratitude to Netflix for the opportunity to have his music featured in the popular period drama.

'Bridgerton' has garnered attention for its innovative use of instrumental covers of contemporary pop hits since its first season with song renditions like 'Wildest Dreams' by Taylor Swift and even the use of the popular Bollywood track 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham' in their second season.

The third season also features the instrumental cover of Ed Sheeran's hit 'Shape Of You'.

The latest instalment, part one of season three, continued this trend with tracks from artists like BTS, Nick Jonas, and Taylor Swift.

Pitbull noted the timeless quality of his hit song and appreciated its continued relevance.

The show's Instagram account, adopting the persona of the gossip columnist Lady Whistledown, chimed in to support Pitbull's sentiment, emphasising music's ability to communicate when words fall short.

Stars of the series, Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan, earlier reflected on the significance of the carriage scene in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.

Coughlan praised the scene for encapsulating the magic of 'Bridgerton', blending romance, drama, and humour seamlessly. Newton highlighted the shared experience between the cast and the audience, emphasizing the bond forged through the show's captivating storytelling.

The first part of Season 3 of 'Bridgerton' comprising four episodes was released on May 14, with the remaining episodes slated to air on June 13 on Netflix.
