Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s wife Aaliya Siddiqui filed for a divorce from the actor after sending him a legal notice via her lawyer. The couple also has two children and Aaliya has demanded full custody of both their son and daughter, post divorce. Although Nawaz is yet to release a statement on the same, his wife is clear that she wants to end their marriage at all cost.  Aaliya, in her official statement released today, further mentioned that she has gone back to her original Hindu name -  Anjana Kishor Pandey. For the unversed, she had changed her name to Aaliya after getting married to Nawaz, a Muslim, as a gesture of love and respect towards his family.

However, now with the marriage hitting the rocks, Aaliya has officially changed her name to her birth name. "I was made to feel like a nobody, I always felt alone. His brother Shamas was also an issue. I have gone back to my original name, Anjana Kishor Pandey. I don’t want to be reminded that I am using someone’s identity for my benefit", said Aaliya in interaction with Mumbai Mirror. Buzz is that Aaliya aka Anjana dropped 'Siddiqui' from her name about 2 months back. She was contemplating this separation for quite some time now considering they have been facing differences for a long time.
