Two of 2020's biggest films Rohit Shetty’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ and Kabir Khan’s ‘’83’ is all set to release in theatres dismissing all speculations of a OTT launch. Multiplexes have announced the release dates of the two films. ‘Sooryavanshi’ will have a Diwali release while ‘’83’ starring Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone has opted for a Christmas release this year.

‘Sooryavanshi’ was supposed to release on March 24. However, after the first phase of lockdown was announced, the makers of the film postponed the film indefinitely. Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will be seen sharing screen space yet again after films like, ‘Namaste London’ and ‘Welcome’. The Kapil Dev biopic, on the other hand, will have Ranveer Singh playing the role of the cricketer while Deepika Padukone will be seen essaying the role of his onscreen wife Romi Dev. The actress is also co-producing the movie. The directors of both the films refused to give their films a digital release.
