Actor Imran Khan who is best known as Aamir Khan's nephew  had a dream debut in Bollywood  with Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na in 2008. However, after a string of flops Imran has now finally bid acting goodbye. According to reports, in the media, the Luck actor will no longer be seen in front of the camera as per his best friend actor Akshay  Oberoi. Akshay told Navbharat Times, "My best friend in Bollywood is Imran Khan, who is no longer an actor because he has quit acting. Imran is my closest friend, whom I can get up at 4 am and call. I and Imran have been with each other for almost 18 years, we studied acting together at Kishore Acting School in Andheri West."

Akshay further shared, "See, Imran Khan has left acting at the moment. As far as I know, there is a better writer and director inside Imran, I do not know when he will direct his film himself, I am not going to put any pressure, but as a friend, I think so he will direct his film soon. Also, when Imran directs, I know he will make a wonderful film because his sensibility and understanding of cinema are very high. "Imran was last seen on the big screen opposite Kangana Ranaut in Katti Batti five years ago. The film which was directed by Nikkhil Advani opened to negative reviews upon its release. Back in 2018, Imran also made his directorial debut with a short film titled Mission Mars: Keep Walking India. The actor was in the news recently for his alleged separation with wife Avantika Malik. However, apart from her cryptic posts on Instagram, the couple has neither confirmed nor denied the news.
