Known as India’s biggest digital star and now, the successful debut director, Ashish Chanchlani has stepped into a new creative league with his directorial debut Ekaki, a sci-fi web series that he not only directed but also wrote, produced, and headlined. With this ambitious venture, he moves beyond short-form comedy, exploring an uncharted cinematic space on digital platforms. The show has turned into a massive success, earning critical acclaim and an overwhelming response from audiences across the board.

Amidst the success of the show, Ashish was chosen as the only one from Indian to launch the trailer of Spider-Man: Brand New Day and received gratitude from the film’s lead actor, Tom Holland which he shared on his handle.

As Spider-Man: Brand New Day actor Tom Holland expressed his gratitude to Ashish for helping launch the trailer of the film in India, Ashish responded to him and shared the video on his social media, writing—

"You're welcome tom, It was an honour to represent India in launching the trailer cant wait to watch."

Moreover, with Ekaki, Ashish Chanchlani has ventured into territory that few in Indian digital entertainment have attempted. The scale of visualization, the shift from horror to extraterrestrial themes, and the bold narrative choices have impressed both critics and audiences. The response has been equally remarkable. Within just 24 hours of release, Chapter 5 crossed over 1 crore views, becoming one of the most viewed long-format videos in a single day on YouTube. Additionally, the show ranked as the second most popular Indian show on IMDb at one point, a significant milestone for a debut director.
