Mumbai, April 1 Acclaimed actor Pankaj Tripathi, who celebrated Biha Diwas at the Embassy of India in Tokyo, has opened up about how his upbringing in Bihar continues to shape his personality, revealing that the simplicity, struggles, and emotional depth he carries today are deeply rooted in where he comes from.

Sharing his thoughts on the occasion, Pankaj, who attended the celebration along with his family, said: “The simplicity, struggle, and sensitivity that come from the soil of Bihar form the foundation of my identity.”

“But beyond that, Bihar is also a feeling, one that lives within you no matter where you go in the world. Standing here in Tokyo today, surrounded by people who carry Bihar in their hearts, I feel an overwhelming sense of pride and belonging."

Pankaj shared what makes Bihar truly special is not just its history, but its people, their resilience, their warmth, and their ability to dream despite challenges.

“Today, Biharis across the world are making a mark through their hard work, talent, and integrity. Whether it’s in arts, academics, business, or public service, they are quietly and consistently contributing to the global narrative of India," he added.

Pankaj continued that events like Bihar Diwas “on a foreign soil remind us of where we come from.”
