National Award Winning Actor Parvathy Thiruvothu marked Republic Day with a powerful and thought-provoking post, revisiting the spirit and responsibility of being a true republic. Sharing rare images from India’s first Republic Day celebrations, the actor used the moment to urge citizens to reflect on the values that form the foundation of the nation.

Accompanying the images was a powerful message underscoring the importance of awareness, unity and active citizenship. In her caption, Parvathy wrote, “Now more than ever, we are called to remember what being a true republic nation means. To remember the power we hold as people of our nation. To stay aware, informed and fight propaganda and misinformation; let’s unite as one to ensure each and everyone deserves a dignified, respectful life in our country. On this Republic Day, I urge you to reflect and work on your core values — and be rid of anything that comes from a place of hatred and indoctrination. As a people, each and every individual holds immense power to turn things around. Wield that power for the good of your fellow citizens, to ensure your government delivers safety and security to all. Remember to lead from a place of love! 🇮🇳”

Through her post, the actor highlighted the role of individuals in shaping a healthy democracy, urging people to remain informed and engaged while resisting misinformation. She also stressed the importance of dignity, respect and safety for every citizen, reinforcing the idea that democratic values must translate into lived realities.

Parvathy’s message struck a reflective note on Republic Day, reminding citizens that the strength of a republic lies not only in its institutions, but in the values its people choose to uphold every day.

Parvathy will next be seen in the Malayalam films Pradhama Dhrishtya Kuttakkar and I, Nobody, and in Hindi cinema with Storm, produced by Hrithik Roshan.
