Pooja Hegde, who has been a part of several hits and commercial potboilers, is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, Retro. Throughout her filmography, the actress has been a part of genre-defying films, however, she hasn’t stepped into the zone of biopics, yet. During a recent conversation, she expressed her desire to star in biopics. Interestingly, when asked whether she would love to be a part of Sridevi’s biopic, Pooja stated, “I already danced to her song, Elluvachi Godaramma. And, I would love to act in that film.”She continued, “Biopic is something that I have not done before. However, it excites me to be a part of the stories about unsung heroes rather than famous persons. At the same time, I also want to act in sports dramas.”
If Pooja Hegde’s desire gets an establishment, it would be exciting to see her bring to life the timeless legacy of the legendary actress, Sridevi. After having worked with some of the biggest stars in Bollywood and South, being a part of multiple blockbusters, demonstrating her acting dynamics with each role, and cementing herself as a ‘pan-India’ artist, Pooja Hegde seems to be the perfect fit to star in Sridevi’s biopic.
Meanwhile, she is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, Retro, wherein she shares the screen space with Suriya. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, Retro is scheduled to hit the screens on May 1. Apart from Retro, Pooja Hegde is busy shooting for her next Bollywood film, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, wherein she is starring alongside Varun Dhawan. Directed by David Dhawan, the film is scheduled to be released soon.
