Washington DC [US], May 3 : American singer and rapper Post Malone has postponed the beginning of his Big Ass Stadium Tour Part 2, cancelling the first six shows in order to complete his highly anticipated album, The Eternal Buzz, according to E! News.

The 30-year-old 'Sunflower' singer took to Instagram Stories to inform fans about the delay, stating, "Looking at the upcoming schedule after Stagecoach, I came to the realization that what we were trying to do, and what's possible isn't really lining up," as per the outlet.

He added, "Truth is, I promised y'all beautiful people new music, and I don't have the time to finish it before tour starts. We ain't ready for tour just yet, so I'm making the decision to push the tour back about 3 weeks to get this music done."

The rescheduled tour will now officially begin on June 9 in Charlotte, North Carolina, over three weeks later than the originally planned May 13 kickoff in El Paso, Texas. The cancelled dates included stops in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida, according to E! News.

Addressing fans who purchased tickets, Post Malone said, "I'm so sorry to the folks who were planning on coming to the few canceled shows. I was looking forward to going nuts with y'all," according to E! News.

The Grammy nominee teased that the wait will be worth it, revealing that his upcoming seventh studio album will be a double album featuring 40 tracks. "We've been making some badass....for this double album, and I can't wait to perform for y'all again," he shared.

Reassuring longtime supporters, Post added, "To a lot of little stinkers that think I've forgotten about ole Stoney, I haven't..." referencing his 2016 debut album.

He concluded on a positive note, writing, "I love you, and can't wait to see you crazy... soon," according to E! News.
