Pranitha, who will turn a year older on Thursday, said: "This activity is very close to my heart and it is something I am doing for the first time with my foundation. There are so many people in our country who cannot afford even a basic health check up for themselves and hence my foundation has taken this initiative and I feel what better day than my Birthday."

The 26-year-old is all set to make her Bollywood debut in the Ajay Devgn-starrer "Bhuj: The Pride Of India". She is known for her role in films like "Porki" and "Em Pillo Em Pillado".

Sharing her working experience with Ajay, Pranitha added: "Ajay sir is so disciplined on sets. He is so natural when it comes to acting and the best thing about him is that as soon as the director says action, he gets into the character and gets out of it as soon as the director says cut.

"There was so much to learn from him and I feel blessed to have worked with him in my first Bollywood film."

"Bhuj" features Ajay as IAF Wing Commander Vijay Karnik, who was in charge of the Bhuj airport during the 1971 war between India and Pakistan. Pranitha will be seen playing his wife Usha Karnik.
