Actress Rakul Preet Singh has reportedly confessed to begin a part of the ‘drug chats’ with Rhea Chakraborty but has denied consuming any narcotics substance. This update comes in shortly after the actress’s 4-hour long interrogation with the Narcotics Control Bureau that is probing the drug angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. According to a report on Times Now, the actress, who has been a part of anti-drug campaigns, vehemently denied procuring or consuming any narcotics substances. During the course of the interrogation, she also claimed that she had no relation with any drug peddlers.Rakul's team had earlier denied that the actress hadn't received any summons from the NCB, but later confirmed that Rakul will appear before the NCB on September 25.
The agency had said on Thursday, "Summon was issued to Rakul Preet Singh yesterday. We tried to contact her through various platforms, but she has not responded yet."While Rakul was interrogated today, it's been reported that Deepika Padukone and Sara Ali Khan will be summoned tomorrow. Sara was snapped at Goa airport along with Amrita Singh and Ibrahim Ali Khan. Deepika was snapped en-route Mumbai with Ranveer Singh. Rhea Chakraborty, meanwhile, is lodged in Byculla jail following her arrest by NCB and subsequent to that, being sent to judicial custody till October 6. She has moved the Bombay High Court, and in her petition, Rhea claims innocence in the drug case for which she has been arrested and stated that she "has not committed any crime whatsoever". This comes after Rhea Chakraborty had cracked before the NCB's questioning after earlier claiming that she had never used drugs, and doubling back on her submission from even before that wherein she had allegedly admitted to drug peddling charges.
