Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi will be a part of the historic, mythological story Ramayana, and the poster and teaser of the film have become the talk of the town. The film, which is among the most-anticipated movies of 2026, features Ranbir as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita. The film is helmed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra.

After a successful Ramayana preview in Los Angeles, Ranbir, Nitesh, and Malhotra traveled to New York City for a second screening. Ranbir lauded Sai's performance as Sita, stating, "We all know Sai is such a brilliant actor... the first day I saw her as Sita, I just looked at Nitesh sir, and we both just knew that we couldn't have cast someone better." While praising Yash, Ranbir said , "To play Ravana, you need somebody who has that aura and screen presence."

With a combined budget of Rs 4,000 crore, the two-part Ramayana film series, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, and Ravie Dubey, ranks among the most expensive Indian and global film productions. Ramayana Part One is scheduled for release in October 2026, followed by the second part in 2027, and will feature music by Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman.
