Actress Raviraa Bhardwaj, currently seen in webseries Khoj, has strongly condemned the shocking incident at Mahakumbh, where women were secretly filmed while bathing, and the videos were sold illegally. Raviraa, who has been a part of projects like Akhari Hadd, has expressed her outrage over the violation of privacy and dignity, calling it "appalling and disgraceful."

Speaking about the incident, she said, "The act of secretly filming women while bathing at Mahakumbh and selling such videos is appalling, disgraceful, and a complete violation of privacy and dignity. It reflects the depths to which some individuals fall for the sake of money, disregarding basic ethics and human decency."

Raviraa stressed the need for strict legal action against those responsible. "The culprits must face strict legal action, including severe punishment under cybercrime and privacy laws, to set an example and deter such crimes in the future. Additionally, platforms that facilitate the sale and distribution of such content must also be held accountable," she asserted.

Highlighting the deeper issue of objectification of women, Raviraa emphasized the need for change in societal mindsets. "This incident highlights a disturbing mindset that objectifies women and normalizes such exploitative behavior. Changing this mentality requires strict law enforcement, social awareness, and education, especially in teaching respect and consent from an early age."

She further urged society to take responsibility in ensuring that women's privacy and dignity are respected at all levels. "Society as a whole must condemn such actions and work toward creating an environment where privacy and dignity are upheld as fundamental rights."

Raviraa Bhardwaj’s strong stand serves as a reminder that crimes against women’s privacy should never be ignored. With influential voices like hers raising awareness, it becomes crucial for both law enforcement and society to take action in ensuring justice and preventing such heinous acts in the future.
