Washington [US], June 22 : Sony Pictures has officially set the release date for Robert Zemeckis' highly anticipated film 'Here,' marking its debut on November 15 through TriStar Pictures.

The announcement comes as a significant move following its earlier plans for a limited release, according to Deadline.

Initially slated for an exclusive opening in Los Angeles and New York on November 15, 'Here' will now receive a wide release right from the start, aiming to captivate audiences nationwide.

Among other notable releases in its new frame include A24's horror thriller 'Heretic' starring Hugh Grant, Amazon's festive feature 'Red One' with Dwayne Johnson, and an untitled Christmas film from IFC Films, Deadline reported.

Directed by the renowned filmmaker Robert Zemeckis, 'Here' is described as an original drama that delves into the lives of multiple families and a profound place that holds significance across generations.

Adapted from the acclaimed graphic novel of the same name by Richard McGuire, the screenplay is crafted by Eric Roth and Zemeckis, known for their collaborative successes such as 'Forrest Gump.'

The film stars iconic actors Tom Hanks and Robin Wright, reuniting with Zemeckis after their memorable roles in 'Forrest Gump.'

The ensemble cast also features Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly, and Michelle Dockery, promising a compelling exploration of human connections and the passage of time.

Produced by Zemeckis, Jack Rapke, Derek Hogue, and Bill Block, with Jeremy Johns, Andrew Golov, and Thom Zadra serving as executive producers, 'Here' is set to offer audiences an immersive cinematic experience supported by Miramax, which holds international distribution rights for the film, according to Deadline.

With its poignant narrative and stellar cast, 'Here' is poised to embark on an emotional journey through the timeless themes of family, love, and the essence of home.
