After the stupendous success of Kabir Singh Shahid Kapoor is leaving no stone unturned for his next Jersey a sports drama. Shahid who essays the role of a cricketer wants to ensure that he gets into the skin of the character. It is for this purpose the makers of the film have apparently roped in Rohit Sharma's coach and mentor Dinesh Lad to train Shahid. The actor has already begun his learning under the reputed coach. Not only that, an eight-member team, including certified athletic trainers and fitness experts from UK, has been hired to help Shahid to get into the skin of his character.
Shahid Kapoor has earlier played cricket at the college and club levels and is quite excited with the opportunity of honning his cricketing skills under Dinesh Lad. He also picked up the footwork and different styles of stroke play from the renowned coach.Reportedly, half the shooting has been completed, but Shahid continues to train under Ranji coaches. The movie which also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur being helmed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and is slated to hit hit the theatres later this year.
