In a shocking development, reports have surfaced that Aazam Ansari, who is known for his striking resemblance to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, has been arrested in Lucknow. Ansari, who allegedly blocked a road and engaged in arguments with locals, was taken into custody following the emergence of a video in which he appeared holding a gun. The video, which circulated widely on social media, raised serious concerns about public safety. According to the Free Press Journal, Ansari’s gun license had expired in 2022 and had not been renewed since. This expiration became a significant point in his arrest, with police citing it as a primary reason for their action. In the video, Ansari can be seen sitting in a police jeep, reportedly claiming that he was merely having a cup of tea when the arrest took place.

In a desperate plea, Ansari alleged police brutality, stating, “Police ne maara pita humko raatme, bahot zyada. Ab main yah ape aaya ho, bail karwane ke liye, toh bail yah ape mil nahi rahi hai. Humko jail bhejne ka plan hai. Aap bataye, humne kya kiya hai ke jail bhejenge?” (The police hit me a lot last night. Now, I’ve come here to get bail, but I am not getting it. They plan to send me to jail. But tell me, what have I done to deserve this?) Ansari further claimed that his revolver license was being canceled unjustly, expressing concern for his safety. “Mera revolver ka license radh kar rahe hai. Humko kal goli maar diye toh uska zimmedaar kaun hoga. Aap log madat kariye, jo sahi baat ho who bataaiye. Koi nahi aaya, raat bhar hum bandh rahe andar koi nahi aaya,” he added. (They are canceling my revolver license. If someone shoots me tomorrow, who will be responsible? Please help me, speak the truth. No one came to see me; I was locked up all night.)

While this controversy unfolds, Salman Khan continues to make headlines for his cinematic endeavors. His recent film, Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss and starring Rashmika Mandanna, was released on March 30, coinciding with Eid. Despite receiving mixed reviews—some fans lauding Salman’s return to the screen after the disappointing Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (2023), while others criticized the film’s dull storyline and weak performances—Sikandar has managed to earn ₹141.19 crore worldwide at the box office.
