Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt who was reportedly diagnosed with lung cancer a few weeks ago is all ready to head to the US for further treatment. The Sadak actor, has been receiving preliminary treatment at a hospital in Mumbai as of now. Now, the latest report in Mid-Day claims that Sanjay has procured a 5-year visa for the US on medical grounds and may seek treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre where his mother Nargis Dutt reportedly also was admitted between 1980 and 1981 for treatment of pancreatic cancer. Bollywood actors like late Rishi Kapoor, Manisha Koirala and Sonali Bendre too received treatment from the same hospital.The report had a source informing the daily that Sanjay had applied for the visa after learning about his illness.
However, the problem in getting clearance was due to him being a convict in 1993 Bombay blasts but one of his friends helped him get a visa. If the report is to be believed then Sanjay, is expected to fly to New York with Maanayata and Priya. Dutt was considering travelling to Singapore if the US plan did not materialise. However, everything worked out swiftly, and he is expected to leave at the earliest.Sanjay Dutt's eldest daughter Trishala lives in New York. Maanayata, Priya and Namrata are reportedly expected to fly to and from New York during his treatment. Earlier, after the 61-year old's health scare, Sanjay’s wife Maanayata also urged everyone to not speculate about her husband’s stage of illness and to pray for his recovery. On the work front, Sanjay will be seen in Sadak 2 with Alia Bhatt, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Pooja Bhatt. The film is releasing on DisneyPlus Hotstar on August 28, 2020.
